The Room That Isn’t There 
One of my favorite builds: a hidden room under a staircase. Flush drywall panel, no handle, no hardware. You press the right spot, it swings open. Guests walk past it all day.
The trick isn’t the mechanism, it’s the craftsmanship. Gap tolerance must be tight enough that the seam doesn’t catch light. Plasterer finished the door panel in place, same session as the surrounding wall. Paint went on last, door closed. Completely seamless.
