I am a former GM & Design Manager of a large furniture & decor box store. I started my own company in 2024. The best thing that ever happened in my life is the birth of my 2 children in 2018 & 2020 (hence the name 1820 Design). Prosper (7) and Olivia (5) call me Designer Daddy or Daddy Designer. They love to play with my fabrics / swatchs and try to come up with new combinations following the basic designer rules. I will admit I’ve used their suggestions a couple of times and my clients loved their ideas.
They like to remodel my daughter’s doll houses and my sons “Home of the Stuffies” ( Mailbu Barbies Dream house that has been remodeled and retrofitted for use with Beanie Babies).
