2 different ceiling heights in an open living room kitchen space

Hi there! How do I make a cathedral ceiling in Living Room but flat in Kitchen when it is open to each other

Hey Nikki! So the ceiling is always attached to a specific room, which means you’d need to separate the kitchen and living room to have different ceiling styles. You could either fully close them off and create a wall opening, or keep the space feeling open by adding the shortest and thinnest partial wall possible, just enough to define the two areas without making the difference too visible. That way, you can still get your cathedral ceiling in the living room and keep it flat in the kitchen!

See in the screenshot, the nook is flat and the kitchen is cathedral, the wall between them 2 is a partial wall, 3/16" thick and 1/8" high
