How can i place stairs into a wall and it take the top part of wall out that is angled with stairs?

Hi @Pinnacle_Constuction - Thank you for your question! Our 3D Floor Plan allows you to place stairs along a wall by dragging the stairs asset close to the wall, from there they should snap right into position. Can you help me understand what you’re running into a bit more?
Are you working with a specific stair design or looking to create an opening in an angled wall where the stairs will be positioned? Let me know and I can help find the right solution for you!

sorry i meant to say i wish you can add a wall enclosing underneath the stair, The stairs i placed was in someones living room against the wall but it has an opening underneath the stairs and its supposed to be closed in. There is no option to close in underneath the stairs such as a wall angled with stairs…

Thank you for clarifying — that makes perfect sense! At the moment, there isn’t an easy built-in way to close off the space underneath the stairs in Houzz Pro. However, we’ll definitely consider adding that functionality to our roadmap, as it’s a really useful and commonly requested feature.
In the meantime, there’s a helpful workaround you can try: you can use Floating Shelves to create filler panels under the stairs. Here’s how:

Add a Floating Shelf and match its material to your staircase.

Adjust its dimensions to match the size of one stair tread.

Duplicate the shelf for each stair in your staircase.

For each one, slightly raise the height to align with the corresponding stair step.

Once you’ve created the set, place your staircase above them — this will create a closed-off look underneath the stairs.
It’s a simple trick, but it works nicely to achieve that enclosed effect until the feature is officially supported!
I often run into this dilemma and have used the floating shelf technique! However, it doesn’t work well with stairs that have a closed stringer, perfect work around for stairs with a sawtooth stringer. I just wanted to be a small voice in this conversation to show I would love to see a feature that can help with this.

I understand the limitation you’re describing with closed stringers, and I can see how the floating shelf workaround wouldn’t apply there. I’ll pass this feedback along to Sean, our Product Manager for 3D, so he’s aware there’s interest in a feature that better supports this scenario.
