Is Anyone Actually Using HouzzPro for Emails Successfully?

I’m hoping to get some advice from those of you who’ve been using HouzzPro longer than I have. I’ve been running into a lot of frustrations with the CRM, especially around email communication and organization, and I’d love to hear how others are navigating it.

Some of the biggest challenges I’m facing:

  • There doesn’t seem to be a true Gmail/HouzzPro integration. The Chrome extension doesn’t sync directly into the CRM, so emails feel disconnected.

  • All outgoing emails come from notifications@houzz.com rather than my business domain, which feels unprofessional.

  • There’s no way to “reply all” or keep everyone looped in on a thread, which makes communication with clients and contractors clunky.

  • Messages are split across different tabs within each project, and there’s no central place to view everything at once. It’s easy to miss important details.

For the cost of this platform, I expected a more streamlined solution, and right now it feels messy and inefficient.

Has anyone figured out effective workarounds for these issues? Do you rely solely on the CRM, or are you supplementing with another tool (like Gmail or another email platform) to keep things organized?

Any advice or insight would be hugely appreciated—I really want to make the most out of this investment, but right now I’m struggling to see how to use it efficiently.

I’ve included my responses below, but we are also always open to feedback from our professional community so we appreciate the feedback about areas where we could add more functionality for our professionals.

I hope this helps!

  1. For the Gmail integration with the CRM, here is a great help article explaining the steps. You would need to first install the Chrome extension. Then, once that is done and a potential new customer emails you, you can hit Reply to the email, and there will be an option to add this to the Houzz Pro CRM.   2. All notifications come from that notifications email address. Everything else in Houzz Pro will have your company’s branded information on it, though. I will submit this as feedback to potentially change in the future!

  3. In the messaging center of the CRM, there is not a Reply All function, but I will submit that as product feedback too. There is a CC option in the messaging function where you can add additional recipients.

  4. We offer commenting on various features in Houzz Pro, like Selection Boards, 3D Floor Planner, Tasks, etc. The central place to review the message history outside of comments would be in the Client Dashboard.
