Is It possible to add a niche in a shower wall, possibly add lighting in it , So clients can see it in 3D
Hey Matt,
Yes, it is possible to show a shower niche in 3D so clients can visualize it.
There is no direct tool to cut a niche into a wall, so you need to use a workaround with the backsplash tool.
Basically, the process is not really about creating a niche itself.
It’s about adding backsplash thickness to the wall everywhere except where the niche is.
By placing backsplash panels around a defined area, you build up extra depth on the wall.
The part without backsplash appears recessed, which visually creates the niche.
So instead of cutting into the wall, you are adding material around the niche area to simulate depth and make the niche visible in 3D. The lighting though it’s not possible at the moment.
Here’s an example (I’ve put 2 different type of tiles so you see the difference)
So basically I’ve added 4 bathroom backsplashes (2 horizontal and 2 vertical ones to create the niche)
Amazing, Thank you so much for your help
Makes perfect sense
