I designed and built my own house, and while I was building it, I had a few neighbors stopping by with curiosity, and those became my first clients.

Make sure to talk to your family and friends! They are the ones who will want to see you succeed and you’d be surprised how many of them probably have a project they’d like to get done. I offered discounts to the people I knew in exchange for grace as I was learning and positive reviews and referrals!
