How has technology changed your approach to projects?

Hey everyone,

Remember when jobsite “tech” meant a clipboard, a tape measure, and a flip phone that could take photos? Fast forward to today, and we’ve got AI creating project schedules, the ability to scan rooms into 3D floor plans, and digital dashboards that keep clients in the loop.

Some pros say technology helps them look more professional and win more jobs. Others love how it cuts down on busywork—like generating estimates or invoices in minutes. And for many, the mobile app has become the go-to tool for managing schedules, subs, and even client communication on the go.

But I’m curious about your experience:
:backhand_index_pointing_right: What tools or tech have made the biggest difference in how you run your projects?
:backhand_index_pointing_right: Do you feel it saves you time, helps you stand out to clients, or just adds more to juggle?

Drop your stories below—I’d love to hear how tech has (or hasn’t!) transformed your construction workflow. :rocket:

I am interested in knowing what others are doing on Houzz that has helped them tremendously.

I have loved a number of features. Specifically the design tool coupled with the professional looking estimates allow me to present a really high quality proposal to clients. The 3D room scanner saves me a TON of time with measurements and drawings as well!
