If you had a clone for 2 weeks, what’s the first task you’d offload?

If you could magically clone yourself tomorrow, what part of the business would you hand over to “Clone You” and what would you keep?

If I had a clone, the first task I’d offload would be client management.

I would love to have someone constantly updating and evaluating Linear foot pricing for building. That and entering everything in to see if we are on budget.

I would have them manage my day to day expenses and labor costs into time and expenses of each job and update the budgets so clients can be updated daily on this.

If I had a clone for 2 weeks I would offload scheduling and task assignments for subcontractors and employees. I can’t ever seem to stay ahead of it.

Make estimates, take offs and SEO for me

If I had a clone for 2 weeks, I would hand over communication of product delivery and scheduling updates for both my clients and team members! I would keep (and have more time for!) all of the design details in cabinetry, finishes, and flow of plans.

I would have them keep up with detailed price sheet and material cost list of all the major item we do. And run my social media page

Payroll. Estimates. Pretty much everything back office

If I had a clone for 2 week… I would have him help me catch up on estimates and follow up on outstanding invoices. As well as reminding me to slow down enough to take lunch.

Immediately assigning my clone to deal with every “per my last email” situation

They can handle the back-and-forth, the paperwork, and the 27 tabs I never closed.

Create a client-facing app where the contractor can send a link tied to a unique project ID. The client uses that link to complete a virtual walkthrough using LiDAR. Additional features include AI-generated design inspiration and material selection options. On the contractor side, the data is converted into an estimate using AI.

I would offload doing administrative work- scope of work, proposals, invoicing, and sourcing. I would keep the part of my job that lets me be creative, making my clients’ homes unique to their style and functionality.

The first task I would offload would be takeoffs and compiling detailed estimates, complete with subcontractor trade prices and constantly keeping them updated
