I’m trying to create a screened porch using the outside wall options one of the walls where the stairs are going for the entrance is slanted. I wish there was a way to angle the door placement to be slanted with that entrance, but it’s not letting me.
You can for sure add a door on a slanted wall! I’ll have the team take a look, which project is this on, this way we can check it out and make sure you’re not running into a bug? It may be that the door is wider than the wall - initially. In this case try resizing the door before placing it on the wall and see if that does the trick!
In the meanwhile, here are some other things to try!
- To angle the wall: Click on a corner of the wall and drag it to create the slanted angle you need. The wall will remain connected to adjacent walls while you adjust the angle.
- To position the door: Once you’ve added a door from the Structures menu, you can adjust its placement by clicking and dragging it along the wall. For precise positioning, you can change the measurement numbers directly on the floor plan.
- To rotate the door: Use the rotate ring around the selected door - you can drag to adjust freely or snap in 45-degree increments. You can also use the black 90° icon for quick 90-degree rotations.
Also, try working in Floor Plan mode as it’s easier for proper door placement than Dollhouse mode.
If you’re still running into issues, I would suggest contacting your rep or the live support team, you can find their contact information on the left side of your Houzz Pro homepage under the “?” icon
Hope this helps!
