I have captured a 2D floor plan and need to rotate it! Does anyone know how?
Hey George!
Thanks for a great question! As of right now, we cannot rotate the captured 2D floor plan, but I do have a work around for you!
I would recommend:
- Downloading the floor plan as a PDF
- Open the PDF
- Rotate the PDF in editor
- Re-Upload the rotated PDF to your Houzz Pro Project
I want to assure you we are aware of this, and the fix in on the roadmap. We’ll be sure to let you know when we launch this in Beta and when it goes live!
If anyone else has any advice, please drop it below! ![]()

The fact you cannot rotate the 2d drawing and some of the other little things will cause me to leave Houzz and use other software. This is such a simple feature, the printing of the floor plans is extremely lacking, why, i mean why. If i download the PDF, nothing is to scale, so again, i might as well draw this with crayons, you get about the same results.
We are working on this. Coming soon!
Hey @4739_Cleveland_Hwy and @George_Shafazand I have an update! ![]()
On mobile, you can now rotate your floor plan after it’s scanned and before it’s saved.
- Once you’ve finished scanning, you’ll see a floor plan preview screen:
- Just tap the Rotate arrow button in the top left corner to adjust the orientation before saving.
Hope that helps make things a little easier!

Posting an update here on being able to rotate floor plans on desktop - we are putting the finishes touches on this and aiming to get this out soon.
@4739_Cleveland_Hwy @George_Shafazand Rotating floor plans on desktop is now available - find it via Floor Plan > Settings - you can rotate the floor plan in 90 degree increments or alternatively, enter in any custom degree rotation as needed.
